Smarty Pants Research Consultancy Adds Ashley Old to Talent Roster

JOHNSON CITY, TN – Smarty Pants market research and strategic consulting firm announced today that Ashley Old has joined the company as an analyst level “Insights Whiz.” Old is one of a dozen new research professionals added to the firm’s growing talent roster in the first quarter of 2021.

Old serves a pivotal role supporting all facets of primary research – across methods, consumer segments and industries. From discussion guide development to conjoint analysis, she assists in executing qual and quant research initiatives for the company’s leading clients in the toy & game, media, and non-profit categories.

Prior to Smarty Pants, Old was a research associate for Deloitte & Touche in their Risk and Financial Advisory practice. She worked on qualitative and quantitative projects in the government sector and across major hospitality chains.
Old is a magna cum laude graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a minor in business administration. She was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and the recipient of the psychology department’s Award for Academic Excellence.
Old later obtained a Master of Market Research from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business where she received a merit-based graduate student assistantship and tuition waiver. During her tenure at UGA, she was also a graduate researcher at PayPal.
Old is based in Houston, Texas.
