JOHNSON CITY, TN – Smarty Pants market research and strategic consulting firm has added industry veteran Jennifer Ginelli to its talent roster. As “Insights Brainiac,” Ginelli executes and analyzes custom qualitative and quantitative research for Smarty Pants’ flagship healthcare, food & beverage and entertainment clients. Ginelli is among seven new employees recently added to the 60-person shop.

Ginelli began her career at Kantar in Fairfield, CT, where she specialized in advertising testing and brand tracking studies for beverage, household and personal care brands. She then moved to New York City firm Newman-Stein, expanding her research portfolio to include concept and product testing.

Ginelli transitioned to agency-side research when she joined BBDO Worldwide. There, she led creative development research as she studied consumer trends and built her campaign messaging expertise. Ginelli later became senior vice president at Bates Worldwide where her traditional and innovative research generated insights that inspired brand strategy and creative work.

Prior to Smarty Pants, Ginelli led her own marketing consultancy which specialized in brand identity and the creation of marketing content for small businesses and emerging brands.

Ginelli is a cum laude graduate of the Syracuse University Newhouse School of Public Communications from which she earned degrees in advertising and anthropology. She subsequently obtained several certifications in digital marketing and analytics, including a coding certification in full-stack web development from the University of Pennsylvania.

On Ginelli’s appointment, Smarty Pants Chief Operating Officer Meredith Franck commented, “Jen is a seasoned pro who excels at marketing, consumer research and building brands. She is a gifted thinker and producer who adds tremendous value to our clients at every turn.”

Ginelli is based outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
