Shirley Shi joins Smarty Pants as Insights Know it All

JOHNSON CITY, TN – Smarty Pants market research and strategic consulting firm announced today that Shirley Shi has joined the organization as an “Insights Know-itAll.” Her role entails management of complex quantitative and mixed-method research initiatives, including attitude and usage tests, segmentations, brand and ad trackers, concept and positioning evaluations, and pricing assessments. Shi’s work spans Smarty Pants’ leading key healthcare, apparel, tech and entertainment clients.

Shi was most recently an Associate Consultant at LA-based Hypothesis Group, where she led primary research for Microsoft, Warner Bros., Dolby, Toyota, Disney, Meta, Amazon and LinkedIn.

Shi obtained her bachelor’s degree in English literature from Fudan University—one of Asia’s most prestigious universities and part of China’s elite C9 League (Ivy League). She earned her master’s degree in Communication from University of Southern California, where she received the William Randolph Hearst Scholarship in recognition of academic excellence.
