SAN DIEGO, CA – Smarty Pants market research and strategic consulting firm announced today that Lluvia Carrillo has joined the organization as an “Insights Genius” supporting the company’s most prominent tech, food & beverage and healthcare clients. Carrillo is a bilingual moderator and qualitative expert with more than a decade of experience leading domestic and international research. Her empathetic nature, genuine curiosity and multicultural marketing savvy contribute to her refined ability to uncover rich insights that move business forward.

Carrillo was most recently a research director at Hypothesis Group, where she leveraged her passion for bringing consumer stories to life through qualitative and multi-method studies for Disney, Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Starbucks and Toyota. Prior, she served as qualitative research director at Ravel and Culturati Research & Consulting. She began her career at Kantar, honing her research skills as she moved from analyst to senior consultant managing custom projects for Fortune 500 companies.

Carrillo holds an international business and marketing degree from San Diego State University.
She also studied international business at the Universidad de Valparaíso in Chile. Carrillo later earned certificates in market research and advanced moderating from the University of Georgia and RIVA Training Institute, respectively.
