Molly takes immense pride in her role as Insights Sage, a title she joyfully embraced in late 2020. Beyond the playful moniker lies a seasoned professional with 25 years of market research expertise.

Fueled by an innate curiosity about what drives people, coupled with her passion for data and science, Molly seamlessly blends her skills to be a formidable force in the field. While well-versed across many methodologies, she particularly revels in the realm of quantitative research, a passion that can be traced back to her childhood love for Family Feud!​

Molly co-leads a business unit of researchers focused on answering client’s critical business questions. From spearheading kid-targeted new product development to assessing market demand among adult shoppers, Molly’s focus remains unwavering on client priorities—actionability, efficiency, and quality. Her current client roster is focused on retail, healthcare, toys & games and finance.​​


Before joining Smarty Pants, Molly served as Associate Vice President, Strategy & Accounts at SimpsonScarborough, leveraging her expertise to help colleges, universities, and K-12 institutions achieve marketing goals in recruitment, retention, and fundraising.

Her journey also includes time at Kantar Health, conducting global research for giants like Pfizer and Bausch & Lomb; Community Analytics, where she focused on social analytics and influence models; and WBA Research, where she mastered the art of successful project management.

Molly began her career in the research department at Court TV, analyzing Nielsen and MRI-Simmons data to support company-wide initiatives and advertising sales.​


Molly earned her Bachelor of Arts in psychobiology from Wellesley College.

In true Smarty Pants fashion, she went on to receive Principles of Market Research and Principles of Mobile Market Research certifications from The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education. She has also completed The Executive Technique program which helps leaders refine their communications skills.

Molly stays smart and connected through her role as a mentor for Women in Research (WIRe). ​


Born and raised in Maryland, Molly lives with her family just outside of Baltimore. She loves to bake and is excited about her new top-secret chocolate chip cookie recipe. She’s proud to be raising two strong, independent thinkers, each of whom is not be afraid to be a smarty pants!​

Fun Facts

  • Loves endurance fitness challenges. Once rollerbladed 87 miles from Athens to Atlanta, GA in 12 hours​
  • Is very active in her daughter’s Scouts BSA troop, hiking and camping and participating in high adventure trips ​
  • Wishes she could sing and would love to perform on Broadway in another life​
  • Wants to be a contestant on the Amazing Race, even though she knows she and her friend would laugh too hard the whole time and come in last​
  • Enjoys playing bingo at local fire halls, and once won $400 with a coverall​
  • Dreams of going to Siena, Italy to see the Palio di Siena, a bi-yearly horse race​
